The story of American hero and abolitionist Harriet Tubman is coming to the big screen this fall, and Focus Features just released the powerful trailer for the historical biopic.

"Harriet" features Tony Award-winner Cynthia Erivo as Tubman, who escaped slavery and freed over 300 slaves as a guide on the Underground Railroad. Leslie Odom Jr., Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles, Clarke Peters and Janelle Monáe also star in the biopic.

Directed by Kasi Lemmons, "Harriet" is already generating Oscar buzz, especially for Erivo's performance. Erivo has previously won a Grammy, Tony and Emmy, making her one award shy of an EGOT.
