Belmont County seeks poll workers

Special to the Enterprise

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Belmont County Board of Elections is looking for individuals that would be willing to work as poll workers on Election Day. Ohio’s poll workers work hard to ensure their neighbors can vote with ease on Election Day, while helping to safeguard the process so all Ohioans can have confidence in the results. As a poll worker you get a front row seat to democracy on Election Day by staffing a polling place, do your part for your local community, and earn extra spending money in the process.

All poll workers are required to attend a training session at the Board of Elections office and worked the polls on elections day from 5:30 a.m. until the polls close and the precinct has completed the closed procedures. To serve as a poll worker you must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years of age, and registered to vote in Belmont County.

If you are interested in being a poll worker, contact the Belmont County Board of Elections at 740-526-0188.
