"Winning has always been something we have had a difficult time doing, because of our numbers of swimmers; but when you look at results our kids hold their own among teams that have pools and much more practice time then we do." "Strokes are improving and the desire to do better is strong with the team," she said. The Relay event was new for the Shamrock swimmers and after some directions the relay teams went to the block. The event combined girl's relays, boy's relays and combined relays; it also combined actual swim meet relay events and holiday relays. "Our kids stepped up and joined in the holiday fun," Johnson said. The holiday relays included a stocking relay, a wreath relay, a corkscrew relay, an underwater relay and a package relay. "The package relay was fun to watch. The kids had to swim across the pool carrying a brick wrapped in Christmas paper. It was amazing to see how many ways a brick can be carried in the water," Johnson said.At the SCC meet two new swimmers, Jenny Lowry and Marisa Yudasz, joined the team. The BHS swimmers have a Web site that updates their records, schedules and meet results along with additional pictures of our team in action.
