STEUBENVILLE -- Dover won the girls' sectional swim meet Saturday at
Steubenville High Schools' Natatorium with a score of 311, followed by New Philadelphia with 210, Coshocton with 196 and Martins Ferry with 174.5.
Cambridge was 5th with 160, John Glenn placed sixth with 152.5 points and Barnesville was 18th with 32 points.
Brandi Bahmer was the only Barnesville girl to make noise at the meet, finishing eighth in the 50 freestyle (28.06).
On the boys' side, Coshocton won the boys' title with a score of 342, followed by Dover with 337, New Philadelphia with 275 and Tri-Valley with 150.
Barnesville was fifth with 126 points, John Glenn was 10th with 81 points and Cambridge was 14th with 53 points.
Shane Warner and Hunter Yevincy anchored Barnesville with a pair of solid finishes each.
Warner placed third in the 200 freestyle (1:56.30) and fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:22.06).
Yevincy was third in the 100 butterfly (59.84) and fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.80).
The pair combined with Jon Huntsman and Arick Swallie to take second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.26) and fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:56.46).
