Barnesville beats Bridgeport 59 -47
BRIDGEPORT -- After overcoming troubles with the weather and transportation, Barnesville finally made it to Bridgeport, taking down the Bulldogs, 59-47.
The Shamrocks were forced to take cars to the game due to bus troubles and looked sluggish for it early in the game, holding just a 7-5 lead after one quarter of play.
Both teams adjusted in the second quarter and Barnesville broke away on the back of Colby MacMillan who hit four three-pointers in the quarter to help BHS take a 28-22 half-time lead.
Barnesville continued its dominating ways in the second half as they pulled away for the 12-point win.
MacMillan led the Shamrocks with 19 points, while big man Bryson Stephen finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Preston Dornon added nine points and Kody Skinner had eight.
Michael Carr and Justin Gregorcic led Bridgeport with 18 points each.
