Vicki Jewell

December 9, 1965 - August 22, 2020

Vicki Sue Jewell, of Barnesville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at her home. Vicki was born Dec. 9, 1965, in Orrville, to the late Gideon and Judy (Gump) Jewell.

She attended School of Hope and worked for Belco for many years where she was a rest area caretaker in Old Washington. She participated in Special Olympics enjoying basketball, bowling, and track.

Vicki is survived by two sisters, Ila (John Vaughn) Jewell of Barnesville and Loretta (Lonnie) Cruise of Bellaire; nieces, Amanda (Eric) White of Dillonvale and Elizabeth Atkinson of Barnesville; seven great-nieces; special great-niece, Morgan Atkinson; special great-nephew, Declan Atkinson; three great-great nieces and two great-great nephews; three aunts, Mary, Ila, and Fran.

Masks and social distancing were recommended at a visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2020,with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda.

The family would like to thank Denise Bunting who helped with taking Vicki on trips and sharing a special bond. Also, many thanks to Hospice of Guernsey for their wonderful care of Vicki; especially Jennifer Doty who was there with her every step of the way during this time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Vicki’s memory to Hospice of Guernsey, 9711 East Pike Road, Cambridge, OH 43725.
