Quaker City, Oh - Danny Gene Flood, 71, of Quaker City, died Sunday (September 26, 2021) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born July 27, 1950 in Barnesville, son of the late Thomas Flood and Lena (Long) Flood.

A 1969 graduate of Zane Trace High School, Mr. Flood retired from Centria in Cambridge where he had been a laborer for many years.

He was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 2792, the Batesville Social Club, and the American Legion of Batesville.

He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and drinking beer. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by a son, Chad (Melissa) Flood of Hamilton; a daughter, Courtney Flood of Cincinnati; a brother, Jimmy (Mindy) Flood of Barnesville; three grandchildren, Austin Flood, Drake Flood, and Xavier Flood all of Hamilton; his companion, Mickey Stavely; many close friends; and his grand-dog, Finn.

Private services will be held for the family. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
