Sonjia Jane (McGlumphy) Eschbaugh
Salesville - Sonjia Jane (McGlumphy) Eschbaugh, 82, of Salesville Ohio went home to rest with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday morning (April 25, 2021) from Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Jane was born May 22, 1938 the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Phillips) McGlumphy of Barnesville, Ohio.
She attended Barnesville High School, had worked at Jonathan Logan Shirt Factory in Barnesville, and attended the Cambridge Beauty College. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Church of Quaker City.
She was Co-Owner with her daughter Susan of The Country Cupboard Store in Salesville. Sonjia was a talented artist and created many crafts for their store.
Jane was preceded in death by her Mother and an infant son; her Father and Step mother Virginia McGlumphy; brothers, Harry McGlumphy and Bill McGlumphy; sisters, Nora Max, Jackie Neuhart, Coney Golek, Rosemary Shackleford, Judy McGlumphy; great granddaughter Elle Messenger; a special friend Lib St. Clair.
Jane is survived by her loving husband Allen Eschbaugh of Sixty-Four years whom she married on July 7, 1956; two daughters,
Susan (Gary) Haenisch of Cambridge and Kathy (Danny) Messenger Barnesville; one son Jeff (Donna) Eschbaugh of Salesville:
Grandchildren, Ben (Emily) Messenger, Jessie (Jerry) Carpenter, Joe (Lisa) Urdak, Amanda (Ryon) Eddy, Michael (Letisha) Messenger, Adam (Sammi) Messenger, Emily (Heath) Kennedy, Tyler (Mackenzie) Eschbaugh, Justin (Jolene) King, Jason (Kerstin) King, Jessica King; great grandchildren, Logan Eddy, Garrett Eddy, Cole Eddy, Elijah Messenger, Blake Messenger, Leanna Messenger, Lane Messenger
Bradli Messenger, Maxx Messenger, Dru Messenger, Devan Landes, Nick Urdak, Maddie Carpenter, Mollie Carpenter, Abby Kennedy, Avary Kennedy, Satreyia King, Ivy King, Sadey King;
Many nieces and nephews and friends and neighbors that she met in 82 years.
Family and Friends will be received for calling hours on Wednesday evening April 28th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City. Her funeral service will be held Thursday April 29, 2021 @ 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Salesville Methodist Episcopal Cemetery in Salesville following the service.
