Donald D. Carman, Sr.

Donald D. Carman, Sr., age 75 of Barnesville, OH died Thursday, April 1, 2021 in South Eastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, OH.

He was born July 9, 1945 in Bellaire, OH the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Sutton Carman.

He was retired from the US Military, having served for over 34 years in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and serving abroad in Vietnam and Desert Shield; and was a member of Rock Hill Presbyterian Church, American Legion, Barnesville VFW, and Rock Hill Grange.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Carl and Charles Carman, and an infant brother, Shannon Paul; and four sisters, Almeda Yost, Donna Brady, Linda Butler, and Patti Lynn.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol Giffin Carman; two sons, Donald "Dwain", Jr. (Carla) Carman of Warnock, OH, and Robert Carman of Barnesville; a daughter, Yolanda (Don Crews) Carman of Barnesville; grandchild, Chance Carman; two brothers, Harold (Phyllis) Carman of Bellaire, and Robert Carman of St. Joe's, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-7pm at Grisell Funeral Home, 400 -33rd St., Bellaire.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1pm at Rock Hill Presbyterian Church, 56224 Bellaire-High Ridge Rd., Bellaire with Rev. David Demarest officiating.

Interment in Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire.
