Dallas Clyde Kemp, 83, of Belmont, passed away January 25, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born November 21, 1932 near Belmont, son of the late Dennis and Laura Benson Kemp.
Dallas was a lifelong dairy farmer, an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church where he served on the board of trustees for several years, and attended Chestnut Level Christian Church. He was a loving, inspiring father and grandfather, leaving a legacy of family values.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Van Horn Kemp; sisters, Leona Thompson, Mildred and Wilma Anderson; brothers, Forrest and Lester Kemp; daughter-in-law, Penny Kemp; and grandsons, Dallas Roger, Jr. "D.J.", Dusty, and Joseph Kemp.
Dallas is survived by his children, Dallas Roger (Billi) Kemp, Karen (Kevin) Davis all of Bethesda, Dean (Gail) Kemp of Barnesville, Terry (Ginger) Kemp, Karla (Kenny) Perkins, Susan (Carlos Edward) Powell all of Belmont; grandchildren, Teasha (Brian) Horne, Chris (Stephanie) Davis, Nikki (Tony) Gregor, Jessica Perkins, Heidi Kemp, Randa (B.J.) Causby, Angie Kemp, Chad (Allie) Kemp, Jarek (Amanda) Perkins, Tony (Lexee) Kemp, Amber (Brent) Kralovic, Jason Carpenter, Eric Kemp, Keith Powell, Megan (Jim) Suchocki, Kaitlyn Powell; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Christene, Brian, Keira, Carson, Trista, Ryley, Peyton, Xander, Destiny, Brody, Jocelyn, Mackenzie, Kinsley, Raegen, Colten, Jackson, and Brenden; great-great-grandson, Issac; and brothers, Chester (Irma) Kemp and David Kemp all of Belmont.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service, beginning at 11 a.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Pastor Brent Hopper officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
