George W. Rogers, 71, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home.  He was born April 14, 1942 in Bethesda, Ohio, son of the late William Craig Rogers and Ida M. Willis Rogers.
He was a member of the Bethesda Church of The Nazarene. He was retired from United Dairy, where he had worked as a blow mold operator. He had a love for the outdoors and camping.  He enjoyed yard sales, going to the mall, and old time music.  He was a “Chevy Man”, his favorite car being a 1957 Chevy.  George enjoyed and looked forward to the annual Pumpkin Festival.  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Joy Rogers.
George is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley M. Rogers of Bethesda, Ohio; son, Kenny W. Rogers of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Rogers, Christina (Jacob) Rogers; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Summer, and Autumn Rogers; sister-in-law, Darlene (Harold) Van Dyne of Powhatan, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 16 from 11 a.m. until the time of service, beginning at 1 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido and Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, OH.  Reverend Chuck Leasure officiating.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of George’s family.
