Karl J. Reischman, 71, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011. He was born September 3, 1939 in Miltonsburg, Ohio a son of the late Francis Reischman and Hazel Brummell Reischman.
Karl was a fuel truck driver with Green Valley Co-OP retiring after 33 years of service. He attended Somerton United Methodist Church. He was a faithful member of the Quaker City Coffee Club and served his country in the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Agnes Burkhart.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Grandi Reischman; daughters, Sherri Reischman of Barnesville and Shaun (Cary) Leach of Jerusalem, Ohio; step-sons, Charles E. "Chip" (Lori) Jones II of Kapolei, Hawaii and Kevin (Linda) Jones of Cambridge, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and an uncle, Vernon (Eddy) Reischman of Woodsfield. Karl's extended family includes John and Diane Blattler of Somerton, Ohio.
Friends were received Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 702 East Main St, Barnesville, Ohio where services were held Monday, April 11 with Minister Rusty Atkinson officiating, burial in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City. Memorial contributions my be made to the Quaker City Volunteer Fire Department or the Somerton Park.
