George Janosik1921-2010George Janosik, 89, of Belmont, Ohio passed away Friday December 17, 2010 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born August 29, 1921 in Maynard, Ohio a son of the late Wendell Janosik and Ana Marie Pathorski Janosik.George retired from the Ohio Valley Coal Company #6 mine after many years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. George enjoyed his retirement working in his welding and woodworking shop. He was always willing to help his wonderful neighbors. He loved the time spent of the family farm with his special brother-in-law, George Kuzma, and his nephews. He was a member of the Warnock Community Presbyterian Church and the Glencoe American Legion Post #632.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.George is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Kuzma Janosik; a daughter, Darlene Janosik of Medina, Ohio; sons, George (Waneta) of Bellaire, Ohio, Greg (Mindy) of Belmont; a grandson, Jason Ryan Janosik also of Bellaire; and a sister, Anna Mae Taylor of Barnesville, Ohio.Friends were received Monday, December 20, 2010 at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, Ohio where services were held Tuesday with Minister Diane Jefchak and Minister Theresa Bobot officiating, burial in Warnock Cemetery. Belmont County Council American Legion held military services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warnock community Presbyterian church or the Glencoe American Legion.
