It is pretty typical of me to have monthly safety tips articles, but in light of this all I wanted to share some fun ideas and ways to help around the house. I live in a house with my parents, a younger sister, and a dog. My sister isn’t easily entertained, and it can be very annoying; however, we cannot blame these kids. Here are some fun activities to entertain kids. With Easter being right around the corner there are many things kids can do with that. Egg hunts are always fun, and if the household has older children to help out that takes stress off the parents. There is coloring, reading, painting, and drawing. If there is an appropriate amount of room outside, kids can color with sidewalk chalk, ride a bike, or walk. If none of these options will work for some people, they can help their kids imagine. When the kids are not at play, they can always help their parents. Something I helped my mom with was scrubbing the kitchen floor on my hands and knees. Even my 9-year-old sister helped. It may not seem fun, but it helps more than most kids will understand. Parents can have their kids dust, fold laundry, sweep, and do the dishes. They can even make doing chores creative. Sometimes despite the world around us, it is better to make the best out of the worst. Stay safe and sane everyone!
