Herman P. Kahrig, 94, of Barnesville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Brandywood Assisted Living Woodsfield. He was born May 22, 1925, in Monroe County, a son of the late Lawrence and Ella Christman Kahrig.

He was a farmer and a mechanic for Lashley Tractor Sales. Herman enjoyed restoring tractors. He was a member of the Beallsville Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Eileen Devore Kahrig; brothers, Roger, William, Francis, Virgil and Lester Kahrig; and sister, Martha Uppole.

He is survived by brothers, Rodney (Betty) Kahrig, Kenneth (Kitty) Kahrig, and Lloyd Kahrig; sisters Dortha Lee Matz, Vera (Robert) Crock, Leora Cruise, and Doris Kahrig; sister-in-laws, Kathy Kahrig, Vivian Kahrig, and Charlotte Horseley; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Friday, Feb. 28, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, with Collin Morrison officiating. Burial followed in the Somerton Southern Cemetery, Somerton.
