On Feb. 8, the Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers met in the basement of the Barnesville Main Street United Methodist Church. President Jenna Duvall called the meeting to order and devotions were read by Emma Mazgaj.

Roll call was led by Olivia Phillips. Members answered roll call by stating, "My favorite game to play is………." The secretary's report was read by Olivia Phillips and the treasurer’s report was given by Marah Bethel. Recycling, scrapbooking, health, and safety reports were all given.

A reminder that was made that there would be livestock quality assurance training on Feb. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Wise building at the fairgrounds or on March 24 at 6 p.m. at UL Middle School. 4-H project books were distributed, but supplemental livestock books were not yet available. Any remaining 2019 fair premiums were also distributed. The club announced that there will be another Relay For Life event like last year. Ideas for collecting or raising money as a club for this event were discussed. Some ideas included a bake sale, selling items at Relay For Life, and/or a car wash.

The next meeting of the Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers 4-H Club will be on Saturday, March 14 at the Main Street United Methodist Church.
