Thomas A. Cook, 55, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at the Barnesville Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on April 8, 1964, in Barnesville, to Violet (Mayberry) Cook of Barnesville and the late Donald Cecil Cook.
Tom was a 1982 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was owner and operator of Cook Well Drilling. He was a devoted father and family man and would do anything for anyone. He will be missed by many people.
In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his wife, Joyce (Jones) Cook of Barnesville; two sons, Matthew (Marta) Cook of Somerton and Mark Cook of Barnesville; grandson, Kavin Carpenter of Somerton; two brothers, Michael (Debbie) Cook of Barnesville and David (Jill) Cook of Barnesville; sister, Nancy (Terry) Smith of Barnesville; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. The service was held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 230 West Main Street, Barnesville, with the Rev. Jean Cooper officiating. Burial followed at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
