Cathy R. Marr, 72, of Barnesville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at the Barnesville Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1947, in Wheeling, W.Va., to the late Raymond E. and Catharine L. (Dillon) Hall., Richard E. Marr; two daughters, Angela Briggs (Michael) Freeman of Barnesville and Tawnya Briggs (Casey) Stephens of Salesville; step-son, Michael (Melissa) Marr of New Athens; six grandchildren, Dillon Freeman, Cole (Brianna) Briggs, Maddison Stephens, Casey Stephens, Shane Michael Marr, and Tiffany Stabile; and two great-grandchildren, Lawson Bebout and Emilia Briggs.

She was a 1965 graduate of Zane Trace High School and was a retired case worker for Belmont County Department of Job & Family Services.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard E. Marr; two daughters, Angela Briggs (Michael) Freeman of Barnesville and Tawnya Briggs (Casey) Stephens of Salesville; step-son, Michael (Melissa) Marr of New Athens; six grandchildren, Dillon Freeman, Cole (Brianna) Briggs, Maddison Stephens, Casey Stephens, Shane Michael Marr, and Tiffany Stabile; and two great-grandchildren, Lawson Bebout and Emilia Briggs.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, where services were on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, with Pastor Perry Baranich officiating. Burial followed at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
