Pennyroyal Ruritan Club met May 23 at the methodist church in Kennonsburg. Twelve members and two guests were in attendance and Paul Carter led the group in singing "My Country Tis of Thee."

President Harold Gilcher opened the meeting, Dee Brown, secretary, read roll call and club minutes, the financial report was read by Andy Fadorsen, treasurer and Dick Robinson, club chaplin, gave the invocation before the meal.

The speaker for the evening was Allen Farley, executive director of Noble County of Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Her topic was touring and area interests.

Scholarships picked up by the club in 2019 included Lauren Rae of Buckeye Trail and Karie Feldner of Shenandoah High School.
