Bonnie Beefers 4-H Club 

A meeting of the Bonnie Beefers 4-H Club took place Thursday, May 30 at the St. Clairsville Memorial Park. The Beefer Buddies Cloverbuds also met.

President Alyssa Betts was in charge of the meeting. The Pledge of Allegiance was started by Gage Workman. The 4-H Pledge was started by Breanne Workman.

The secretary’s report was presented by secretary Sierra Betts, approved as read by Breanne Workman and seconded by Maddie Pittman.

The treasurer’s report was presented by Sierra Scott, approved as read by Savannah Springer and seconded by Shanuna Studenc.

Old business included: Livestock Clinic which included the last opportunity for Quality Assurance in Belmont County; Horse Committee swap meet and square dance; rabbit registrations were due; Horse Camp; Senior Fairboard Steak Fry and Square Dance; Horse ride night, Safety Training, Committee Meeting and Horse Registrations; Horse Committee Fundraiser at Chipotle; 4-H Camp registration was due; Horse ride night; Lamb and Goat Weigh In June 1; Royalty Applications will be available beginning June 1; 4-H Camp June 4-7; Shooting Sports Camp June 7-9; Teen Ambassadors County Wide Community Service Relay for Life July 14; Change in dates for Livestock Judging August 5-10

New business included: Teen Ambassadors County Wide Community Service Relay for Life is set for July 14 from 1 to 11 p.m. Started discussion about what the club is planning to do for this event; Market hog registrations are due to the Extension Office June 1 and hogs must be tagged by June 15; June 12 - Horse Workout; June 13 is the Scholarship reception; Feeder calf registrations are due June 15 and calves must be tagged by July 1; June 23 is Belmont County Horse PAS Show; Royalty Applications due June 24 and Interviews will be held July 9; June 22 - Belmont Mills Beef Preview Show; Still Project and Shooting Sports Judging will be held on July 9 at Union Local Middle School; Livestock Skillathon and Judging will be held during the week of August 5-10 at the Wise Building; Horse Day Camp registrations due June 10 with camp on June 29.

The club voted on sponsoring a Sewing Still Project Award for the Belmont County Fair in the amount of $25. The motion was moved by Breanne Workman and seconded by Shanua Studenc.

The next meeting of the Bonnie Beefers 4-H Club will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 at the St. Clairsville Memorial Park in St. Clairsville. Breanne Workman will be presenting a demonstration, Kaleigh Unroe will be presenting a Health Speech and Kierstyn Unroe will be presenting a Safety Speech.
