Looking for something to do that’s close by? Attend the 56th annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival! The pumpkin festival is held annually the last full weekend in September, right here in beautiful Barnesville, Ohio! There are so many things to do, such as the pumpkin roll, the pie eating contest, hog calling contest, talent show, pie baking, pie eating, fudge contest, pumpkin mascot, 5k run, the car show, and the beard and moustache contest. In addition, of course there’s the pageant for crowning the new queens the Sunday before and the Queen’s Luncheon and Grand Parade on Saturday! 2017-2018, I had the opportunity to represent my home town as the Barnesville Pumpkin Queen. The year I was crowned as queen, the festival had the state record pumpkin, weighing 2,150 pounds! In my reign, I traveled 12,285 miles to 88 festivals and events! There are so many activities for every age! Don’t forget to enjoy the delicious pumpkin pie, pumpkin doughnuts, and my favorite pumpkin ice cream while you’re visiting! I hope you find something you like to do at the 56th annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival!
