Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio, Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library along with the OSU Extension Belmont County are sponsoring a Mental Health First Aid Training on Tuesday, May 28 at the Barnesville Library Annex from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is a training that teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges, as well as, techniques to assess crisis, provide initial support and resources to connect person to professional help
This free program is open to anyone to learn how to equip yourself with a five-step action plan to offer initial help to those showing signs of mental health or in a crisis. The training is sponsored by OSU Extension Belmont County & Barnesville Library through State Library of Ohio LSTA funds.
