Six people were arrested as a result of two separate drug busts in Powhatan Point and Barnesville.

Last week, the Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Taylor Street in Powhatan Point after an investigation initiated by the Bridgeport Police Department.

Four people were arrested and face the following charges:

Dylan Bumgardner - obstructing official business and a probation violation

Dawnisha Menough - drug trafficking

Trista Cervelli - drug paraphernalia and child endangerment

Jonathan Shaw - felony warrant out of Cleveland

Shaw was the one who had attempted to barricade himself in the garage.

In an unrelated incident in Barnesville, the Belmont County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Mason Road (Somerset Township).

Officers also found two firearms and meth.

William Groves and Vanessa Snider were taken into custody.

Groves faces receiving stolen property charges.

Snider faces several charges, including drug possession and receiving stolen property.

All six suspects are currently being held at the Belmont County Jail.
