The Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers had its meeting of the year on March 9. Marah Bethel conducted the meeting.

Roll call was led by Jenna Duvall and answered by "What brings you good luck?" Secretary, treasurer, news reporter, health, safety, energy, and recycling reports were given by members. 2019 Project books and Resource Books were distributed. An announcement was made that Junior 4-H Camp will be held June 4-7 at Camp Piedmont. Shooting Sports Camp will be June 7-9 and Cloverbud Camp will be held July 22. A Livestock Clinic for all animals except horses will take place on April 27. Still Project Judging will be July 9. Livestock Judging will be Aug. 5-8, 2019.

2018 4-H Awards were handed out. Ryland Wehr received the Blue Ribbon Award for the Best News Reporter Scrapbook in Belmont County. Jenna Duvall received the Belmont County Achievement Award for Personal Development. Jenna was also awarded a Scholarship for Junior Camp.

Anyone who participated in the 2018 4-H year received a pin commemorating how many years they have been an active 4-H member. Members were asked to wear green to the meeting for ST. Patrick’s Day and for 4-H. A club picture was taken. The club served refreshments of cookies, Hawaiian Punch, and Kool-Aid.

The next meeting for the BPHH will be April 13.
