Walter "Walt" Knox, 53, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Walt was born on Sept. 11, 1965, in Orrville, to the late Kenneth K. and Ruthan (Cardinal) Knox.

Walt was a 1983 graduate of Barnesville High School, had a B.A. from Walsh University, and a M.B.A. from Ashland University in Business Administration. He was Director of Operations for the Treasurer of the State of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert M. Miller, Sr.

Walt is survived by his wife of 31 years, Regina (Miller) Knox; three children, Anastasia (Justin) Jack of Elkview, W.Va., Cecelia (Kyle) Pitt of Newark, Anthony (Emily) Knox of Batesville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Madeline, Clara, and Evelyn Jack and Mardella Pitt; seven siblings, Tracy D. (Elizabeth) Knox of Niles, Mich., Kenneth (Pam) Knox of St. Clairsville, William (Jita) Knox of Barnesville, Susan (David) Cutshaver of Applecreek, Edith (Terry) Schultz of Bethesda, Julia (Bruce) Pearson of Rochester, MN, and Steven (Jeanne) Knox of Orrville; mother-in-law, Carolyn Miller of Beallsville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, from 4 p.m. until the time of the vigil service at 8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Assumption of the B.V.M. Catholic Church, 306 W. Main St., Barnesville. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Miltonsburg.
