ST. CLAIRSVILLE — A Belmont County man who was on the run with his family before being arrested in Pennsylvania, appeared in court last week.

Wesley Burdge, 45, is accused of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor. Police said Burdge, and his wife Tabitha Gallagher, 38, fled their Flushing home with their two children after detectives served a search warrant on their roommate, John Garwon, 43, in October. Garwon was arrested and faces rape and child pornography charges.

Burdge and Gallagher were arrested in early November in Washington, Pa.

Gallagher faces an obstruction of justice charge and is in jail on a $25,000 bond.

Burdge faces up to eight years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine if he is found guilty. Judge Eric Costine set Burdge’s bond at $500,000. The couple’s children have been placed into foster care.
