BETHESDA — Bethesda Village Council met Oct. 21 with the purpose to open bids for the sale of the K9 Unit Cruiser and to discuss personnel related issues.

Mayor Lucas opened up the only bid received and it was from the Belmont County Sheriff. Belmont County Sheriff's Office bid $40,000 for the 2017 Ford Explorer K9 Unit. Chuck Little made a motion to suspend the rules, seconded by Ruth Saffell. Motion passed. Cindy Foose made a motion to approve Ordinance 2018-2 which approves the sale of the K9 Cruiser and the 2007 Ford Expedition Cruiser, seconded by Chuck Little. Motion passed. 

Jay Van Horn asked where the K9 vest was and if this is part of the sale. Mayor Lucas said it is not and that we will be discussing the vest shortly.

Ruth Saffell made a motion to go into executive session to discuss personnel 7:06 p.m., seconded by Chuck Little. Motion passed.

At 7:36 p.m. Mayor Lucas declared executive session over. Meeting adjourned with no further action. 

The next meeting was Thursday, Oct. 28.
