On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers (BPHH) 4-H Club met in the basement of the Main Street United Methodist Church.

Jeanna Duvall called the meeting to order and Hank Johnson read devotions. Ronnie Duvall led roll call and also read the secretary’s minutes. The treasurer’s report and the news report were both given by Ryland Wehr. Emma Mazgai gave a health report titled, "Tobacco."

Luke Castello gave a safety report on four-wheeler safety. Brooke Watson gave a recycling report titled, "Litter."

Rada Cutlery orders were collected. The reverse raffle, a county wide fundraiser, will be held on Oct. 24 at the Carnes Center at the fairgrounds. Help is needed to set up for the event on Monday, October 22 at 6 p.m. Also on Oct. 22, there will be a quality assurance and beef clinic at the Barnesville Library Annex from 6 to 8 p.m.

A mandatory safety meeting for any member in shooting sports is scheduled for Nov. 14 at the Carnes Center. Officer books are due by Jan. 15, 2019, and officers were encouraged to start working on them now. As part of a community outreach project, the club decorated tissue boxes for Walton Home residents for Christmas.

The next meeting of BPHH 4-H Club will be on Saturday, Nov. 10.
