The Village of Barnesville will begin a major street paving project on Monday, Aug. 27. This project is being funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission and will include at least a portion of 13 streets.
Some of the streets will have the asphalt milled prior to paving and all will receive a layer of fabric that slows the cracks from resurfacing.
The contractor is NLS Paving of St. Clairsville. The streets to be resurfaced are West Main Street from Chestnut to just past Pultney at the Hospital, Captina Drive, Commodore Lane, High Street, North Lincoln Avenue, Warren avenue, Ohio Street, Westview Court, West Church Street, Prospect Street, Shady Lane, Fairmont Avenue, and Brennon Street.
Residents are asked to not park on the street during construction.
