10:58 a.m. Owner of Belmont Carson advised an older guy in a red 4-door car put $3.84 in a gas can and did not pay. Registration checked. Contacted Noble Co. and they are going to keep an eye out for the vehicle. Caller from gas station advised he did stop back. He had a flat tire and will be back once the tire is fixed.

11:26 a.m. Caller states there is damage to his truck, asking for an officer to go to his office to do a report because he cannot leave the office. Advised they would stop out. Spoke with caller and he found he did not need a police report and had already spoken with his insurance company.

2:55 p.m. Caller from Hunts Ave. called upset about a neighbors’ dog almost attacking her 6-year-old daughter on her way home from school. Daughter was not bitten but the dog did come at her. Mother states she has called about this same dog being aggressive several times.

5:43 p.m. Caller called wanting an escort to her home to get her things. She states the Court will allow her to go to the residence if an officer goes with her due to having a TPO against her. Advised she lives out of the jurisdiction and to call the Belmont Co. Sheriff’s Office.

6:05 p.m. Man on station to give statement in reference to child visitation refused.

6:54 p.m. Caller advised a light blue Dodge pickup truck ran the traffic light on Mt. Olivett Rd. almost causing a head-on collision. No known registration.

1:55 p.m. Caller on N. Chestnut called stated pool was being drained. Wanted to let us know in case someone reported a water line break. 1:53 p.m. Male to station to report water on N. Chestnut. Advised they were draining a pool.

3:31 p.m. Caller states a disabled car on S. Chestnut by Starr’s Used Cars. Cleared by 4 p.m.

6:19 p.m. Traffic stop on Legget Ave.

9:08 p.m. Traffic stop on E. Main St.

9:14 p.m. Traffic stop on Railroad St.

9:47 p.m. Investigation of complaint on N. Lincoln. Called in an alarm drop at America’s Gun Store. All clear and secured 9:53 p.m.

10:30 p.m. Traffic stop on E. Main at Save-A-Lot.

May 27, Sunday

8:27 a.m. Caller reported a tree down on Mt Olivett. Contacted a Belmont Co. Garage employee.

12:56 p.m. Investigated complaint on E. Main. Employee at McDonald’s believes there is a female driver in drive thru lane who is on drugs and has a child in a car seat in the vehicle. Female is pulled up in the waiting area for food, just past the 2nd window. Checked eyes. Everything is OK, motorist is not impaired.

5:20 p.m. Employee at Emerald Pointe called stating there is a baby deer by the facility. They don’t know what to do with it. Advised it is a wild animal and to call game warden to take care of it. Caller then stated the animal got up and walked away.

10:21 p.m. Caller stated she had some items stolen from her today and wants to report it. Advised her to stop by and file a statement and speak with officer.

5:11 a.m. Traffic stop on E. Main, Wendy’s lot. Cleared 5:23 a.m.

6:16 a.m. Investigate complaint on Morgantown Ave. Central dispatch sent EMS to apartment for a fall injury but may have been from a domestic incident. EMS staged outside until residence is cleared. Advised it was a verbal dispute between manager and tenant after fall occurred. Not a domestic situation. Cleared 6:33 a.m.

11:46 a.m. Caller states vehicle may be coming into town from Boston, Ohio. Driver may be intoxicated, driving a green Chevy truck, with 12-year-old in it, and may be headed for Morgantown. Advised will put out bolo for in town and to call Ohio Highway Patrol since vehicle is currently out of jurisdiction.

9:25 p.m. Caller reports 11-year-old child is being unruly about going to school. States child is hitting her mother to the point of leaving marks. Child will be going to school.

May 29, Tuesday

7:45 a.m. Alarm drop at Barnesville Family Health Center, 100 Hospital Dr., upper waiting room door. Everything OK. Clear 7:53 a.m.

8:09 a.m. Money escort.

12:01 p.m. Female caller states her two-year-old son keeps removing his seat belt while in car. Caller states that she has been threatening her son that she will call the cops if he does not wear it. Requests officer to speak with her child to tell him to keep his seat belt on. Advised the mother that she needs to teach her child to wear a seat belt. Also advised her to quit threatening the child that she will call the cops and using the police as a scare tactic. Advised we want kids to not be afraid of the police and for them to know its OK to come to us when in need.

2:13 p.m. Out with disabled vehicle near Harrison House apartments. Cleared by 2:18 p.m.

2:15 p.m. Scott Whitacre at station wanting to discuss the Eagles and everything going on.

2:27 p.m. Traffic stop near WesBanco. License plate located in back window. Warning for equipment violation. Cleared 2:31 p.m.

4:00 p.m. Caller says a dog is at her residence that needs grooming care. Does not know who dog belongs to. Gave contact information for animal shelter.

7:27 p.m. Investigated complaint located on Main St. Caller advised person is in drive thru and appears to be intoxicated. Almost hit building and has his head out the window. Cleared 7:34 p.m.

10:26 p.m. Traffic stop on E. Main St. Cleared by 10:32 p.m.

11:15 p.m. Caller advised lights left on at Memorial Park. They should be shut off.

11:24 p.m. Traffic stop on Leatherwood Rd. Cleared at 11:26 p.m.

11:27 p.m. Wendy’s employees requested officer stand by while they walk to their vehicles. Advised there were a couple of people there earlier that were acting suspiciously.

4:28 p.m. Caller advised water machine needs to be emptied.

11:25 p.m. Traffic stop on Gobblers Knob. Citation issued for drug possession and paraphernalia. Cleared 11:49 p.m.

May 31, Thursday

5:09 a.m. Traffic stop on S. Chestnut St. Cleared by 5:13 a.m.

9:31 a.m. Investigate complaint on Pine Lane. Man with a knife pulled it on a female who was not from this area. Attempting to get more information. Male is currently sitting outside in car of the residence. 9:36 a.m. Situation de-escalated. No weapon involved. Both parties did not wish to pursue anything. Female will be brought back to station to wait for ride from Pittsburgh to arrive.

11:03 a.m. Female caller states wanting to file police report. States she is at St. Richard’s Preschool in Barnesville. Dispatcher googled St. Richard’s Preschool and found it is in Barnesville, PA. Advised she called Barnesville, OH. She needs to call police dept. in Barnesville, PA.

12:14 p.m. Kennard Ave. caller states low hanging wire over roadway. States having both AT&T and Dish services. Calling AT&T to report it. Gave AT&T the information. They kept asking to have account verified. Advised repeatedly that I could not have account number. They would contact resident and have her verify account before scheduling service.

12:33 p.m. Female on station for finger prints.

1:10 p.m. Gas delivery truck driver called stating unable to pull into Starfire to make fuel delivery due to traffic not stopping to let him in. Watched him on camera and let officer aware of situation. Finally, a vehicle stopped to allow truck to get into the lot to deliver gas.

2:36 p.m. Riesbeck’s called asking if there is a boil order. Advised negative.

2:40 p.m. Accident on E. Main with property damage. Oversize load struck traffic light at Main and Arch Streets. Pulled truck off on Rt. 800 North at corporation limit. Cleared 2:52 p.m.

3:13 p.m. Female caller wanting to report animal cruelty. Someone showed up at Plumly’s Townhomes with a box of kittens and now the box is empty. Kittens running around outside. States her child got one of the kittens. Due to nothing cruel happening, advised her to contact Belmont Co. Animal Shelter.

4:00 p.m. Belmont Co. Board of Developmental Disabilities called stating a client of theirs had items stolen from him. State they are required to report it. Advised them to stop into the station to complete report. They stated will have the client stop in to do the theft report.

4:17 p.m. Same company truck that struck traffic light at E. Main and Arch streets also struck another other traffic light. Witnessed by police officer.
