Voneda M. Baker, 96, of Malaga, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Arbors at Woodsfield. She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of the late John R. and Ethel Swallie Stephen.
She loved gardening, bingo, and playing cards.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Baker; two brothers, George Stephen and Richard Stephen; one sister, Ruth Cline; one granddaughter, Theresa Pack; and one grandson, Michael Pack.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Stephens of Barnesville and Janet Hansen of Woodsfield; three sons, Donald (Joan) Pack, Fredrick (Fritz) (Patsy) Pack, Lawrence Ellis (Marva) Pack, all of Malaga; two sisters, Leota Mercer of Barnesville and Norma Koval of Malaga; grandchildren, Kenneth Wehr, Vicki Groves, Darlene Sims, Sharon Huffman, Wilda Miller, Adriane Seebach, Chris Pack, Carla Ladner, Michelle Stillion, and Lawrence (Flip) Pack; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating. Burial followed in the Boston Cemetery.
