Who needs a hill when you have a German Shepherd buddy who will pull you along. Actually there was a hill, a big one, behind the Grear residence at 510 E. Main St. the lot slopes straight down to Railroad Street just east of the depot. While it’s probably not a lot of fun to mow in the summer, if you’re eight or nine years old this is a prime sled riding location. Here nine year old Alexis Grear, along with four- paw pal Briggs (the German Shepherd) frolic on the snow covered slope Saturday afternoon.
