BHS Haunted House Oct. 29th
The Barnesville High School senior class is sponsoring their annual Haunted House. It will take place at the high school on Thursday, October 29. Kids 4th grade and under can come from 7-8 for $4 and kids fifth grade and up can from 8-9 for $5. The Haunted House will help fund graduation and the senior class picnic.
Kiwanis Club and Hearts in Service Trunk or Treat Oct. 31 at church
The annual Kiwanis Halloween costume judging will be held in conjunction with the Hearts in service ladies ministry at the United Methodist Church on October 31 from 1 to 3 . Judging of costumes will be first, with games and crafts to follow. All ages are welcome and invited to come and have fun.
Somerton Community Halloween Party Oct. 24
The Somerton Community Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Somerton Firehouse.
Anyone from the Somerton, Boston or Temperanceville area may participate.
Admission to this event will be $1 or a canned food for the area food basket project. There will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and refreshments will be served. Categories are separated into four age groups, 0-3, 4-7, 8-14, and 15 and older. Ribbons will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and the overall grand champion will receive a trophy.
Categories are prettiest, scariest, best clown, best couple, funniest and most original.
This event is sponsored by the Somerton Ridgerunners 4-H club. Anyone wishing to donate a door prize please contact advisors Marilynn Lucas at 740-757-2409 or Twila Fisher at 740-757-2261.
All proceeds from the party will go to the area food basket and the Christmas Angel Project.
Kid’s costume contest Oct. 28
The St. Clairsville Recreation Center will be hosting its annual kids costume contest on Wednesday, October 28th at 6 p.m. at the recreation center. Entry will be limited to the first 200 children, please call 740-695-2037 or e-mail email@example.com to sign up. Trophies are awarded to the winners in each age division for the funniest, prettiest, scariest, most original and most original runner-up. Candy grab bags will be given to participants. New sponsors for the events who would like to be involved are welcome to contact the staff for more information.
Bethesda Trick or Treat, Halloween Parade Oct. 31
Bethesda’s Trick or Treat this year will be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2015. Our Halloween Parade line-up will be from 4-4:25 p.m. p.m. at the parking lot of the Methodist Church. The parade will start at 4:30 p.m. at Methodist Church and continue to the Municipal Building where treats will be given out.
Trick or Treat will begin at 5 p.m. and go to 7 p.m.. Please have your porch light on for the “goblins”.
Barnesville Trick or Treat Oct. 29
Trick or Treat in Barnesville will be Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6-7= p.m. Mayor Dale Bunting asks that those wishing to hand out candy turn on their porch lights, and that everyone watch out for children at that time.
Fairview Trick-or-Treat Oct. 31
The Village of Fairview will be having trick-or-treating on Saturday, October 31st from 6 to 7 p.m.
