State FFA president visits Barnesville FFA ChapterStudents in Mrs. Stephanie Plumly's agriculture classes were fortunate enough to spend the day with State FFA President Amy Jo Frost. Throughout the day Amy Jo conducted leadership workshops for the different classes. Topics for the day including: Giving Thanks, Mission Possible and Planning Ahead. Students were also able to spend time getting to know Amy Jo and finding out what it is like to be in such a prestigious leadership position. FFA fruit makes its arrivalBarnesville FFA is wrapping up another successful fruit sale season. Top fruit salespeople this year were 1st place- Adam Inherst, 2nd place- Laura Winland and 3rd place- Kyle Poulton. Students were encouraged to sell by being awarded a free trip to Louisville Kentucky for the National Tractor Pull Championship during the Month of Februrary. There were 16 members who sold enough to qualify for the trip. Students will be spending two days visiting the national Farm Equipment and Machinery Show and will get tickets to attend two sessions of the tractor pull championships. There are still a few boxes of citrus fruit, red and gold delicious apples, mixed fruit baskets and select nuts still available.
