Carols and candlelight to celebrate Christmas

The Barnesville Area Ministerial Association will host two ecumenical, Christmas Eve candlelight services this Thursday, Dec. 24.

The 7 p.m. service will be held at First United Methodist Church and the 'midnight' service will begin at 11 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.

Representatives from several community congregations including Stillwater Meeting, First Christian, Main Street and Somerton Methodist Churches, First Presbyterian and Morristown Christian Church will collaborate on presenting this service for the public.

Communion will be offered and all who attend may choose to partake.

Music will include selections by the church choirs as well as sing-along carols.

At the 11 p.m. Community Christmas Eve service hosted by Pastor Andrew Woods and First Presbyterian Church, Ela Robertson on cello, Bill Cullingford on penny whistle and Marilyn Delman on Barnesville's only pipe organ will provide additional medleys and music of the season.
