The Barnesville Village School Board of Education acted on several personnel issues at the special meeting held Thursday, Jan. 29, including the acceptance of the retirement of Barnesville High School language arts teacher Bradley Wilson, effective February, 27.

Upon recommendation of Superintendent Randy Lucas the board approved the follow:

* approval of a one-year, limited supplemental contract to Natasha Skinner as Head Softball Coach for the 2008-2009 school year;

* approval of a one-year, limited supplemental contract to Kayla Ralston as Assistant Softball Coach for the 2008-2009 school year;

* approval of Natalie Johnson as substitute nurse for the school year and

* approval of Brian Cook, Jessica Byers, Kenneth Triplett and Gary Hickman as substitute teachers.

Also at the meeting the board heard a presentation from the HEAP program on energy conservation, updates to the district's infrastructure and potential financial savings.
