Community Arts Alliance showcases local artists
The Robert T. Secrest Senior Citizens Center in Senecaville and Summit Acres Nursing Home at Caldwell are hosting art exhibits by Community Arts Alliance (CAA) of Barnesville from now until the end of February. Free public viewing at the senior center is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as during Sunday and Monday evening bingo. Nursing home exhibit viewing hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Each art display contains 35 pieces of original art works created through painting, photography, drawing and collage by artists from Belmont, Monroe, Harrison, Guernsey, Noble, and Jefferson counties.
Barnesville exhibitors are Daisy Fulton, Sharon Hanse, Linda Lyons, Nancy Mayo, Beth Mayo Secrest, Charles Warrick, Jeff Jefferis, Betty McKain, Carolyn Vetula, Shane Grimes, and WJ Grimes.
Community Arts is non-profit and dedicated to the development of cultural activities for rural communities to enjoy arts appreciation through traveling exhibits since 1987.
Host facilities participating in the group's "art in public spaces" programming for two decades have been libraries, museums, colleges, schools, senior centers, restaurants, banks, nursing homes, etc.
