Barnesville Area Ministerial Association celebrates Christmas with piano, organ, choir, cello and chimesA Barnesville Area Ministerial Association 11 p.m. Midnight Christmas Eve Service at First Methodist Church, (123 W. Church St.) with feature choir and hymns and will close with candlelight. Their new minister, Pastor John Partridge will be officiating.An earlier 7 p.m. Christmas Eve Carol and Communion Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church 124 N. Chestnut. Rashmee (Souri) Garczyk and Ranjit Souri, both Barnesville High alumni and former students at Neal Studio, will offer meditative and enlivening contemporary versions of traditional Carols. Bob Boswell in contrast will feature Barnesville's only true pipe organ with Christmas hymns, preludes and medleys as they may have been played on historical organs in centuries past. Pastors Andy Woods, Ed Eberhart and others from the community will offer readings and messages. Sunday Christmas Service, 10:30 a.m., December 26, at First Presbyterian Church will again celebrate the birth of Christ with piano, pipe organ, whistle, choir, cello and chimes. All in the wider Barnesville community and visitors are invited to attend these services. Come celebrate the hope, peace and joy of Christmas!
