ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Organizations across the region gathered in St. Clairsville recently at the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) of Belmont County to discuss helping local businesses. The organizations partner with the CIC on a regular basis, visiting existing businesses, offering workshops, and coordinating efforts to assist those wanting to start new businesses.
"This group has a diverse set of knowledge, skills, and resources to help businesses," explained Crystal Lorimor, CIC executive director. "With all of us working together, we help businesses with all types of needs. As an example, we’ve helped with website design, finding new revenue streams, exporting, contracting with the government, Quickbooks, social media, and Foreign Trade Zones for importing."
"It is truly exciting to see how the Belmont County CIC, through Crystal, is aggressively working to build a thriving, diverse business climate that can benefit residents by making Belmont County a great place to live, work, and play. By encouraging various organizations with different missions to come together to have open, candid conversation about the challenges the county faces, positive change can occur more holistically.
The CIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to economic development in Belmont County. For information, contact the CIC at 740-695-9678 or follow on Facebook for upcoming events.
