Cadiz Lions Club Golf Scramble
The annual Cadiz Lions Club Golf Scramble will take place Saturday, June 24 at Cadiz Country Club. Entry fee for the four-person event, slated for a 1 p.m. shotgun start, is $60 per player ($240 per team) which includes golf, cart, mulligan, lunch, beverages and dinner. First and second place will receive cash prizes and there will be 'skill' prizes, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds benefit community projects, eye and diabetes research, free vision exams and glasses for the county's youth. Ohio Express Free Skills Clinic at CHS
The Ohio Express will conduct a free Skills Clinic at Cambridge High School on Sunday, June 25 from 5-8 p.m. Girls in grades 4-6 will take the court from 5-6:30 and girls in grades 7-above will go from 6:30-8 p.m. For more information, contact Brent Glass at 740-683-3378. Youth Football Camp at Buckeye Trail
There will be a youth football camp on June 29-30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Buckeye Trail Football Field. The cost is $20 and all participants will receive a camp shirt, five hours of instruction and the opportunity to run onto the field with the varsity football team in the home opener against Newcomerstown on September 1. OVAC Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale

Barnesville High School Track Closed
The Barnesville High School track facility will be closed for repairs, resurfacing, and striping for a four-week period. Fisher Tracks of Boone, Iowa anticipates the track to be available for use the week of July 17.
Kambri Shrine Golf Outing at Wildfire
The annual Kambri Shrine Club Golf Outing will take place Saturday, June 24 at Wildfire Golf Club in New Concord. The cost for the four-person scramble is $50 per person ($200 per team) and includes golf and cart, steak dinner, two refreshments tickets per player, one mulligan per player. Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The winning team will receive $400 and there will be a "luck of the draw" of $200. Prizes will be awarded for various contests. Muskingum Roundball Skills Camp
The Muskingum University men's basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Roundball Overnight Skills Camp. The camp is scheduled June 25-28 and is open to any boy entering grades 4-12. The cost of the overnight camp is $295 and includes all meals and accommodations in newly air conditioned college dormitories or $200 for commuter campers. Mt. Union/Cambridge Wrestling Camp
The University of Mount Union and Cambridge High School have partnered for a summer wrestling camp slated June 26-27 at CHS. Mount Union's first-year head wrestling coach Josh Malave will head the clinic staff. The cost for the two-day camp is $50. Check-in each day is at 8:45 a.m. with session one from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a lunch break (on your own) and session two from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants should bring wrestling shoes, extra workout clothes, food for lunch and water.
2017 Gus Run 5K Run in Byesville
The 2017 Gus Run sponsored by the Byesville Park & Recreation Department will take place Saturday, July 1 in Byesville. Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8. The cost to enter is $20 for the 5K run or $15 for the family fun walk until June 28 or you can pay the day of the event for $5 more. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female runners regardless of age. Don Coss Memorial Scholarship
Applications for the Don Coss Memorial Scholarship are currently available for first-time and renewal applicants. Caldwell VFW Golf Scramble
Caldwell VFW Post 4721 will have a men's guest members golf scramble on Saturday, July 8 at Fuller's Fairways on Clay Pike in Zanesville. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The cost is $220 per team which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, meal, two drink tickets and prizes. All money raised will benefit the VFW 4721 Men's Guest Members Fund Raising. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, with $400 to the winner and gift cards to second and third place. Pupil Activity Validation in Barnesville
The Barnesville High School Athletic Department, in conjunction with Tim Berger, will conduct a state certified pupil activity validation seminar before the fall season begins. The workshop will take place in the BHS multi-use room on Thursday, July 13 at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $25. All coaches will be certified with the Ohio Department of Education for a three-year period. The workshop is not affiliated with any league or conference series. The Shenandoah Athletic Boosters Golf Scramble will take place Saturday, July 15 at Fuller's Fairways Golf Course on Clay Pike in Zanesville. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The cost is $200 per team which includes golf, cart, meal, 4 drink tickets, prizes and fun. A chance to win longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and longest putt prizes as well as a mulligan can be purchased for a total of $10. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. All money raised will benefit the student-athletes of Noble Local School District. Future Stars Football and Cheer Camp
The Future Stars Football and Cheer Camp will be held on Saturday, July 15 from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. for students in grades 1-8 at the Sam Hatfield Stadium in Duncan Falls. The Buckeye Trail Golf Team will be hosting a 3-man golf scramble on Saturday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at Cambridge Country Club. The cost is $180 per team. $400 will be awarded to first place team, $300 for second place and $180 for third place. Hole sponsorships are needed and welcomed. Wildfire Junior Golf Tournament
The Wildfire Junior Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Coach Jim Vejsicky Foundation, will take place Monday, July 17 at Wildfire Golf Club in New Concord. The cost is $20 for age group s 14-15 and 16-18 ($14 for Wildfire members) and $12 for adge groups 11-under and 12-13 ($7 for Wildfire members). A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the low male and female in the 16-18 age groups. Crystal Springs Junior Golf Tournament
The Crystal Springs Junior Golf Tournament will take place Tuesday, July 25 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Hopedale. There are four divisions - boys 16-18, girls 13-18, boys 13-15 (18 holes) and boys/girls 9-12 (9 holes). The cost is $25 for the 18-hole events and $20 for the nine-hole event which includes golf, food and drinks. The entry deadline is July 20. Belmont Hills CC Junior Golf Tournament
The Belmont Hills Country Club Junior Golf Tournament will take place at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville on Monday, July 31 with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
