Barnesville Sports Physical Exams

There will be free sports physical examinations available ate the Barnesville Family Health Center for boys and girls of Barnesville Schools entering grades 7-12 who will be participating in sports during the 2017-18 school year on the following dates: Wednesday, June 14: boys grades 7-9 from 8:30-10:5 a.m. and boys grades 10-12 from 10:30-a.m. to 12 noon; Thursday, June 15: girls grades 7-9 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. and girls grades 10-12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. All students must have the parental portion of the physical form completed and bring the new 2017-18 OHSAA pre-participation physical evaluation form. Muskingum University Soccer Camps

Muskingum University Men's Soccer is offering a series of Soccer Camps for boys and girls ages 6-15. Girls/Boys ages 6-9: June 21-23 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Single day price $20 or 3-day price $50. Girls/Boys ages 10-15: June 21-23 from 5- 8pm. Single day $40 or 3-day price $100. Boys ages 16-18: June 19-20 2-day college prep camp with head men's coach Chris Limle. Cambridge Color Craze 5K Walk/Run

The 4th Annual Cambridge Color Craze 5k Walk/Run will be Saturday June 17. This is a fun filled event for people of all ages! Come out dressed in all white and leave COLORFUL! Register by May 31 and the cost is $25 for 13 and up, $15 for ages 6-12, and under the age of five is free. The cost will increase after May 31. Youth Football Camp at Buckeye Trail

There will be a youth football camp on June 29-30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Buckeye Trail Football Field. The cost is $20 and all participants will receive a camp shirt, five hours of instruction and the opportunity to run onto the field with the varsity football team in the home opener against Newcomerstown on September 1. Registration is now open for the annual Byesville/Cambridge Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament slated July 8-9 on the Meadowbrook High School campus in Byesville. OVAC Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale

'Pickleball' Returns to Cambridge

"Pickleball" at Cambridge City Park has returned, with games played across from the tennis courts. Scheduled summer play times will be Saturdays from 8-11 a.m. and on Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to dark. The Muskingum University basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Girls Roundball Skills Camp. Cincinnati Reds Legends Clinic

The annual Cincinnati Reds Legends 3-day youth baseball and softball clinic will take place June 19-21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily at the Vienna (WV) Recreation Sports Complex. The cost is $75 if signed up by June 1, with the deadline to register June 12. There are only 125 spots available. With the arrival of spring, the tennis nets are up at Barnesville Memorial Park and tennis leagues will run through July. Kambri Shrine Golf Outing at Wildfire

The annual Kambri Shrine Club Golf Outing will take place Saturday, June 24 at Wildfire Golf Club in New Concord. The cost for the four-person scramble is $50 per person ($200 per team) and includes golf and cart, steak dinner, two refresments tickets per player, one mulligan per player. Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The winning team will receive $400 and there will be a "luck of the draw" of $200. Prizes will be awarded for various contests. The Muskingum University men's basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Roundball Overnight Skills Camp. The camp is scheduled June 25-28 and is open to any boy entering grades 4-12. Mount Union/Cambridge Wrestling Camp

The University of Mount Union and Cambridge High School have partnered for a summer wrestling camp slated June 26-27 at CHS. Mount Union's first-year head wrestling coach Josh Malave will head the clinic staff. The cost for the two-day camp is $50. Check-in each day is at 8:45 a.m. with session one from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a lunch break (on your own) and session two from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants should bring wrestling shoes, extra workout clothes, food for lunch and water.

2017 Gus Run 5K Run in Byesville

The 2017 Gus Run sponsored by the Byesville Park & Recreation Department will take place Saturday, July 1 in Byesville. Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8. The cost to enter is $20 for the 5K run or $15 for the family fun walk until June 28 or you can pay the day of the event for $5 more. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female runners regardless of age. Don Coss Memorial Scholarship

Applications for the Don Coss Memorial Scholarship are currently available for first-time and renewal applicants. Pupil Activity Validation in Barnesville

The Barnesville High School Athletic Department, in conjunction with Tim Berger, will conduct a state certified pupil activity validation seminar before the fall season begins. The workshop will take place in the BHS multi-use room on Thursday, July 13 at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $25. All coaches will be certified with the Ohio Department of Education for a three-year period. The workshop is not affiliated with any league or conference series. Crystal Springs Junior Golf Tournament

The Crystal Springs Junior Golf Tournament will take place Tuesday, July 25 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Hopedale. There are four divisions - boys 16-18, girls 13-18, boys 13-15 (18 holes) and boys/girls 9-12 (9 holes). The cost is $25 for the 18-hole events and $20 for the nine-hole event which includes golf, food and drinks. The entry deadline is July 20. The Belmont Hills Country Club Junior Golf Tournament will take place at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville on Monday, July 31 with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth League will hold a Boys Coach Pitch Tournament Friday, June 30, Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 1 at the Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth Fields. The entry fee is $200.
