Volleyball Officiating Course

The West Virginia and Ohio Volleyball Officials Association is sponsoring a 28-hour course in the fundamentals of volleyball officiating beginning Monday, June 5 in Martins Ferry. Caldwell Youth Basketball Camp

The Caldwell Youth Basketball Camp for boys and girls in grades K-7 will take place June 5-6 at the Caldwell High School gymnasium.

The cost is $25 for one camper or $20 per camper if more than one from the same family. The camp will be instructed by the Caldwell coaching staff and high school players and will include fundamentals and competition. Each camper will receive a basketball.

OVAC Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale

Tickets for the 2017 OVAC Hall of Fame Banquet slated Saturday, Aug. 19 at WesBanco Area in Wheeling, WV are currently on sale. Tickets are $30 each or $240 for a table of eight. There will be no tickets sold at the door.To order tickets, call the OVAC office at 740-391-2930.

Dog and Jog 5K Family Run/Walk at CHS

Cambridge High School Mothers for Runners will be hosting a "Dog and Jog 5k Family Run/Walk" on Saturday, June 10 at Cambridge High School. The Cambridge cross country course will be utilized.Registration begins at 7:30 with event start at 9 a.m. Cost is by donation. Treat bags will be given to participants. Barnesville Alumni Band Scramble at CCC

The Barnesville Community Alumni Band will host a Golf Scramble at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 at the Cambridge Country Club in with proceeds benefiting the group's scholarship fund (awarded to a deserving Barnesville High School Band Senior) and instrument loaning program. Each four person team costs $240 ($60 per golfer) which includes green fees, golf cart and a delicious dinner after their 18 hole round.

Top three finishers receive cash prizes. All golfers are eligible for raffle and contest prizes (closest to pin and longest drive). Call 740-260-9918 to register. Businesses are encouraged to sponsor a hole. The cost is $100 for Silver level sponsorship and $150 for a Gold level sponsorship. The Gold level hole sponsor will receive a discounted golf lesson from Pro Shawn Thompson of the Cambridge Country Club.

Volleyball Skills Camp at OU Eastern

The Ohio University Eastern Lady Panthers Volleyball Skills Camp will take place on June 12 from 6-8 p.m. for those entering grades 5-8.

The camp will be held at OUE's campus and athletes will learn proper technique of volleyball skills including passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Basic defense and offensive responsibilities will be included through fun and competitive volleyball games. East Guernsey Youth Football Sign-Up

East Guernsey Youth Football sign ups will take please at the Old Washington Pavilion on the following dates: Monday, June 12, 6-8 p.m.; Sunday, June 25, 2-4 p.m.; and Friday, June 30, 6-8 p.m. Player must be present along with a copy of birth certificate.

Salt Fork Junior Golf Tournament

The annual Salt Fork Junior Golf Tournament will take place Tuesday, June 13 at the Salt Fork State Park Golf Course located on Rt. 22 outside of Cambridge. There will be several age divisions - boys 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 with awards to the top three in each division; and girls 13-15 an 16-18, with awards to the top two in each division.

The cost is $30 payable to Meadowbrook Golf Boosters ($20 for those with Salt Fork golf memberships) and sent to Mel Pesuit, 613 Avon Dr., Cambridge, OH, 43725. The event will feature a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. The deadline to enter is Friday, June 9.

Barnesville Sports Physical Exams

There will be free sports physical examinations available ate the Barnesville Family Health Center for boys and girls of Barnesville Schools entering grades 7-12 who will be participating in sports during the 2017-18 school year on the following dates: Wednesday, June 14: boys grades 7-9 from 8:30-10:5 a.m. and boys grades 10-12 from 10:30-a.m. to 12 noon; Thursday, June 15: girls grades 7-9 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. and girls grades 10-12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. All students must have the parental portion of the physical form completed and bring the new 2017-18 OHSAA pre-participation physical evaluation form. Muskingum University Soccer Camps

Muskingum University Men's Soccer is offering a series of Soccer Camps for boys and girls ages 6-15. Girls/Boys ages 6-9: June 21-23 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Single day price $20 or 3-day price i$50. Girls/Boys ages 10-15: June 21-23 from 5- 8pm. Single day $40 or 3-day price $100. Boys ages 16-18: June 19-20 2-day college prep camp with head men's coach Chris Limle. Cambridge Color Craze 5K Walk/Run

The 4th Annual Cambridge Color Craze 5k Walk/Run will be Saturday June 17. This is a fun filled event for people of all ages! Come out dressed in all white and leave COLORFUL! Register by May 31 and the cost is $25 for 13 and up, $15 for ages 6-12, and under the age of five is free. The cost will increase after May 31. Youth Football Camp at Buckeye Trail

There will be a youth football camp on June 29-30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Buckeye Trail Football Field. The cost is $20 and all participants will receive a camp shirt, five hours of instruction and the opportunity to run onto the field with the varsity football team in the home opener against Newcomerstown on September 1. Registration is now open for the annual Byesville/Cambridge Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament slated July 8-9 on the Meadowbrook High School campus in Byesville. Muskingum Girls Roundball Camp

The Muskingum University basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Girls Roundball Skills Camp. The camp is scheduled June 23-24 and is open to any girl entering grades 4-12. The cost of the camp is $150 and includes lunch each day. Cincinnati Reds Legends Clinic

The annual Cincinnati Reds Legends 3-day youth baseball and softball clinic will take place June 19-21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily at the Vienna (WV) Recreation Sports Complex. The cost is $75 if signed up by June 1, with the deadline to register June 12. There are only 125 spots available. Kambri Shrine Golf Outing at Wildfire

The annual Kambri Shrine Club Golf Outing will take place Saturday, June 24 at Wildfire Golf Club in New Concord. The cost for the four-person scramble is $50 per person ($200 per team) and includes golf and cart, steak dinner, two refresments tickets per player, one mulligan per player. Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The winning team will receive $400 and there will be a "luck of the draw" of $200. Prizes will be awarded for various contests.
