NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Claymont High swept the team titles while Barnesville led a trio of local teams with a pair of third place finishes in the Ernie Art Invitational hosted by Newcomerstown High on Saturday.

Claymont took the boys' team title with 178.33 points, with Ridgewood finishing second at 121.33. Barnesville finished third (111.83) followed by Shenandoah (67.5), Newcomerstown (59), Dover (58), Coshocton (55) and Strasburg (7).

The Lady Mustangs prevailed with 143.5 points to 128 for second place Riddgewood. Barnesville again took third (94) followed by Dover (88), Newcomerstown (83.5), Shenandoah (73), Coshocton (27) and Strasburg (17).

The Barnesville boys had two first-place finishes - Kohl Campbell in the 110 hurdles (16.05) and Matthew Burkhart in the 400 (51.35).

Other top four individual efforts for the Shamrocks were Campbell, second in the 300 hurdles (42.02); Caide Bunfill, second in the long jump (19-3.25); Justin Lucas, tied for second in the high jump (5-4); Lucas Rogers, third in the 800 (2:11.86) and Sam Wehr, third in the 3200 (11:19.75)

In relays, Barnesville was first in the 4x200 (Campbell, Kane Sephens, Matthew Burkhart, Caide Bunfill) in 1:33.67; first in the 4x400 (Stephens, Bunfill, Campbell, Burkhart) in 3:34.85; third in the 4x800 (Cole Meyers, Locas Rogers, Sam Wehr, Ryan Crum) in 9:26.63 and fourth in the 4x100 (Royce Hall, Ryan Lucas, Tannor Burkhart, Graham) in 47.85.

In the girls' meet, Barnesville individual top four finishes included Samantha Drake, second in the shot put (31-4.5); Kassie Steele, tied for second in the pole vault (8-0); Riley Helmick, third in the 3200 (14:12.72); Taylor Wolford, fourth in the 800 (2:50.45); Kylie Ciroli, fourth in the 200 (29.67); and Harlie Stewart, fourth in the 100 hurdles (18.85).

In relays, the Lady 'Rocks were second in the 4x800 (Hannah Swallie, Taylor Wolford, Dani Meyers, Taylor Clemons) in 12:10.95;
