Barnesville 6, Union Local 4

BARNESVILLE -- With four runs in the bottom of the fourth, the host Barnesville Shamrocks overcome a two-run deficit to post a 6-4 win over Belmont County rival Union Local on Monday.

"We started out sluggish and had a couple of costly errors in the first," Barnesville coach DJ Butler stated, "but we were resilient and that's one thing about this team, they don't give up."

Gaetan Sinisgalli (1-0) picked up the win on the mound with relief help from Mason Clark in the sixth inning. The duo combined for six strikeouts and three walks. Zach Lucas absorbed the loss for the Jets with Ty Kildow coming on in the fourth frame as the two had one punch out and two base-on-balls.

Barnesville (3-2) collected nine hits with Nathan Clark leading the way with a double and single, while Cade Hannahs and Aaron Marovich added a pair of singles each. Union Local (3-3) had five hits with Cody Ray rapping a triple and single.

Barnesville 10, Buckeye Local 7

RAYLAND -- Visiting Barnesville High used a big first inning to collect a 10-7 victory over Buckeye Local on Tuesday.

The 'Rocks posted a five-run first inning to jump into the lead and held on for the road win to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Senior Kaelan Hannahs recorded the win on the mound for the 'Rocks, working four innings with two strikeouts and two walks.

Leading the Barnesville offense was Jared Kernen with a triple, two singles and two RBI while Zane Huntsman chipped in with a double, single and RBI.

Corey Neavin paced Buckeye Local with a single, double and a pair of RBI with Shane Hietz singled twice with an RBI.

Bellaire 8, Barnesville 2

BARNESVILLE -- Visiting Bellaire took down host Barnesville High 8-2, in baseball action on Wednesday evening.

The Big Red entered the fifth inning with a commanding 6-1 lead and tacked on two more runs in the fifth to claim the victory.

Jagger Jefferies suffered the loss for the Shamrocks with Alex Meade and Seth Gordon coming in for relief. The trio of pitchers combined for three strikeouts and one walk while Brennan Conroy earned the win for Bellaire with four Ks and two walks.

Leading the way for Barnesville (3-2) was Zane Huntsman with a pair of singles and an RBI while Cade Hannahs collected a pair of singles and Gordan chipped in with an RBI single.

Thor Duffey paced the Big Red offense with three singles and two RBIs.

Barnesville 9, Buckeye Trail 1

BARNESVILLE -- Host Barnesville High had its offense in high gear Saturday in sweeping twinbill action with Buckeye Trail by scores of 9-1 and 16-2.

Zane Huntsman (2-0) picked up the win on the mound for the Zeps in game one with four Ks and one walk, while Dylan Beaver absorbed the loss for the Warriors working three innings with three Ks and four walks.

Cade Hannahs led the 'Rocks offense with a double, two singles and two RBIs while Jarrod Kernen added a pair of base hits with an RBI.

Zach Grafton banged out two singles to pace Trail's limited hitting attack.

Barnesville's game two win was highlighted by a huge 11-run fourth inning.

Jagger Jefferies (2-1) worked four innings to notch the pitching win with four strikeouts and one walk. Taking the loss for Trail was Zach Grafton with two Ks and three walks in three innings.

Huntsman led the 14-hit Barnesville (6-3) attack with three singles and an RBI, with Seth Gordon and Jacob Gallaway each chipped in with two singles and Cade Hannahs stroked an RBI double.

Casey Dimmerling laced a pair of hits for the Warriors, while Geno CizMadia and Dylan Beaver each contributed RBI singles.
