COLUMBUS -- Barnesville High's Kallee Dowler earned second team all-state accolades in Division III on The Associated Press All-Ohio Girls' Basketball Team announced last week.

Dowler, a 5-8 senior, led Barnesville with a lofty 22.6 per game average. She also contributed 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.1 assists per outing and finished her career with more than 1,000 points.

"That's a great honor for her to receive all-Ohio," said Barnesville coach Jamie Carpenter. "She scored over 1,300 points and we're very proud of her for that.

"She's a great all-around kid and she'll be very hard to replace," he added.

Dowler was a first team all-Eastern District, all-District 12 and all-OVAC selection.

Union Local's Haley Porter was recognized as a third-team selection in Division II.

Also in Division III,.a trio of Buckeye Trail players were selected -- juniors Hannah Smith and Jenni Carmichael with special mention and senior Lexe Starr with honorable mention.

Gaining D-II special mention were Mikayla Poole of Carrollton; Mackenzie Huff of River View; Bri Gassman of Minerva; Zoey Wisintainer of Dover; Sammie Hall of West Holmes and Danin Greuey of Morgan.

In D-III, Ridgewood senior Audrey Tingle was a first team choice while Bellaire sophomore Maci Crozier landed a spot on the third unit.

Other D-III special mention choices were Allison Kuhn of Monroe Central; Haley Shutt of Garaway and Boston McKinney of Tuscarawas Valley.

Earning honorable mention in D-III were Kayla Huff of Edison; Sydney Mullet of Garaway; Carley Barker of West Muskingum; Kierrah Stewart of Tuscarawas Valley and Michaela Flaherty of Bellaire.
