COSHOCTON -- Barnesville will be sending one wrestler to the state tournament, while Ridgewood will send three and Union Local one after the Division III District Tournament Saturday at Coshocton High School.

Barnesville's Caide Bunfill (41-4) claimed the championship in the 220-pound class to earn a berth in the state tournament. He pinned Brock Hill of Paint Valley in 1:45 of the opening round, and followed that with a pin of Jamie Baisden (Pleasant) in 1:53 of the quarterfinals. He then garnered a spot in the championship bout with a 7-6 decision over Donovan McCollister of Nelsonville-York in the semifinals.

In the championship bout, Bunfill recorded a technical fall over Austin Smith of Clearcreek by a 15-0 score.

The Shamrocks will also have a state tournament alternate with Brylan Clouse finishing fifth in te 152-pound division.

Union Local advanced one wrestler to the state tournament with Devin Crum finishing third in the 145-pound division. Ryley Crall will be a state tournament alternate with a fifth place finish in the 120-pound class. Kade Clark finished sixth in the 285-pound class.

As a team, Ridgewood finished second with 118.5 points with Barnesville 17th (45 points), Union Local was 18th with 44 points and Newcomerstown finished 35th with 7.5 points.

Northmore took the team championship with 168 points followed by Ridgewood (118.5), Nelsonville-York (107), Shadyside (106.5) and rounding out the top five was West Jefferson with 92 points.
