ST. CLAIRSVILLE It took a short while for the Lady Panthers to shake off the Christmas break rust as the Community College of Allegheny County jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead on the hosts with 16:12 left in the first half. Following a timeout, OUE quickly responded with a 25-4 run, to open up a 25-11 lead halfway through the first half. The Lady Panthers kept the lead at double figures and went into halftime ahead 45-31. Shadysides Sarah Neavin led the way as she reached double figures with 12 points and six rebounds in the first 20 minutes of action.

OUE was able to extend the lead to start the second half with leading scorer Alex Kuhn saddled on the bench with three first half fouls. Shadysides Kelsey Holloway, Beallsvilles Julie Bilyeu, Union Locals Alexus Davis and Neavin picked up the slack nicely as the Lady Panthers went on a 12-2 run to start the half and push the lead to 57-33 and prompting a CCAC timeout at the 16:30 mark. The timeout allowed Kuhn to enter the game and the Monroe Central great promptly buried three consecutive bonus bombs to put the game out of reach at 66-38 with 14 minutes left to play.

Neavin scored a game high of 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Holloway added 20 markers and five steals. Davis finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Bilyeu worked her way inside for 14 points and eight boards. Kuhn totaled 13 points and eight assists.

OUE improved to 12-2 on the season.
