OUE hosted the 3 time defending state champions, Miami Middletown Thunderhawks (10-1) (6-0) Saturday afternoon. The game started with both teams trading baskets until the Panthers managed to take a two point lead 12-10. After a timeout, the Thunderhawks went on a 6-0 run and never looked back as they went into halftime with 49-34 lead. The second half was much of the same as the Panthers could get no closer than eleven points, as Middletown coasted to a twenty point victory 92-72. With the loss, the Panthers fall to (6-3) overall and (3-3) in the conference.

Middletown was led by All-Conference performer, Dexter Robinson with 20 points. He was followed by Joel Freemans 18. The Green and White was led by Jordan Barbina with 19 followed by Dustin Hynes career high of 18, and Jason Shaws double-double, 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ellis Brown also finished with 10 points.

The Panthers will take to the road next Wednesday as they travel to Orrville to face an always tough Akron-Wayne squad.
