Barnesville 6, Shenandoah 3

BARNESVILLE -- A three-tun sixth inning by the host Barnesville Shamrocks snapped a tie at three and provided the 'Rocks with a 6-3 victory Monday.

After the Shamrocks had built a 3-0 lead through the first four frames, Shenandoah plated three runs in the top of the fifth to knot the score.

Barnesville then capitalized on a walk, an error and a pair of singles in the sixth to capture the victory.

Tyler Kurtz claimed the mound win with a complete game effort striking out five and walking three. Shane Crums was the Shenandoah starter and suffered the loss with nine strikeouts and three walks with relief help from James Luyster in the sixth with an additional two strikeouts.

Barnesville (11-4) was led at the plate by Nate Wehr and Mason Plumly each with a pair of singles and Ian Wells drove in three runs with a single.

Shenandoah (10-3) collected five singles offensively.
