Boys beat Bellaire St. John, 5-4

Despite a tough night defensively, the Barnesville High Shamrocks were able to battle past visiting Bellaire St. John for a 5-4 victory in action on Monday night.

The host 'Rocks overcame a total of five errors on the night to improve to 9-2 on the season.

Tyler Moore (1-1) came on in relief to pick on the win on the mound for

Barnesville, racking up 14 punchouts without issuing a base on balls. Zack Dornon and Ian Wells each stroked a double and single to pace the 'Rocks attack, while Preston Dornon added a pair of basehits.

Bellaire St. John (1-8) was led at the plate by Braeden O'Connell and Brennan Binni each with two singles.
